Students On NDDC Scholarship Protest In London Over Non-Payment Of Their Tuition Fees [Video]

Nigerian students on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) scholarship program, led a protest outside the Nigerian High Commission, in the United Kingdom, over the non-payment of their tuition fees by the commission.

According to the Nigerian students, who were awarded scholarships by the Commission, to study abroad; the Commission is yet to pay their fees, and has not given them, any allowances, as earlier promised.

The students say, they have since taken to menial jobs, to fend for themselves; since, they were abandoned in the United Kingdom, by the commission.
They say, they have been thrown out of school; and, likely to be deported, if they continue to stay out of school in the UK.

The NDDC and Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, is currently being probed, by the national assembly, for alleged, financial recklessness in the commission.

Before, these students, took to the street of London, to protest, the Acting MD of the Commission, had earlier claimed to have spent parts of the 81 billion naira, being investigated, on the tuition, allowance and graduation fees of these students.

It is so sad, to see, such a high level of dishonesty from our leaders.
