Counsel To Petitioner Asks Gov. Diri To Accept The Tribunal's Judgement In The Interest Of The State

Ebikebuna Augustine Aluzu, a counsel to Hon. Vijah Opuama; one of the Petitioners, at the Bayelsa State Election Petition Tribunal, has asked the Governor of the state, to put the interest of the state forward, and accept the outcome of the Tribunal.

Through his Facebook account, he pleaded with the Governor, not to appeal the case; as, appealing only implies, wastage of more state's resources.
He says-

''I call on Douye Diri to accept the decision of the Tribunal, and not appeal the judgment. The court cases, are killing Bayelsa state. Now, It is time to elect a Governor, that will develop the state, as appealing the judgment means, more money will be spent on Laywers. I come in peace''.

Please Note: In just 6-months of mis-governance and litigations, more than 600 Bayelsans lost their jobs, in civil service. More than 600 families affected.

Meanwhile, no project has been initiated, since the inauguration of the Governor.

My Opinion: I think, having a fresh Election, isn't a bad idea; after all, Douye Diri did not even polled half of the total votes casted; he was only brought in, via, a Supreme Court's Rule.
