Bayelsa Election Petition Tribunal: Petitioner Raises Alarm On A Plan To Abduct Him By Men Dressed As DSS

It is no news that, the Bayelsa State Election Petition Tribunal, has reserved judgements for over 5 Petitions brought before the Tribunal.

The Petitioner, in the Bayelsa State Election Petition Tribunal, Hon. Vijah Inowei Eldred Opuama, has risen an alarm, over a plan to abduct him, in the form of a DSS arrest.
From his Facebook account, he says -

"There is a rumour going round that, I have been arrested by the DSS. I was not arrested by the DSS; nor, any other agency.

However, they say, in every lie, there is an element of truth.

It is obvious that, the truth in that lie, is known to us. They planned to dress as DSS, to kidnap me; and then, force me to withdraw the matter, and shove money on me.

And if I refuse, the next option was to kill me; and then, tell their media aides, to spread the rumour that, I have abandoned my matter".
My opinion on this is: even before, the Petitioner came to clear the air, there was first, a rumour of him turning down a 7billion naira bribe from the PDP & Sen. Douye Diri, to induce him into withdrawing the case.

And then, there came the rumour of his arrest by DSS, all over the state.

This really calls for a serious investigation; because, the case before the Tribunal, is on an alleged ''Certificate Forgery'' matter. It is similar to the case, that led to the sack of Chief David Lyon of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Bayelsa State; and, we are aware that, desperate times; requires, desperate measures.

We hope for a better Bayelsa.
